VICTORIES FOR SOME FAVORITE SPORTS TEAMS TRANSLATE INTO WINS FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES
SPRINGFIELD, MO (October 14, 2013) - Whether it's the Chiefs to the west on a six-game winning streak while setting the new sound barrier record for outdoor sports stadiums, or to the heart of Missouri with Mizzou starting the season off with six wins and no losses so far, or to the east with the Cardinals playing in the National League Championship Series, the celebration can be heard at cash registers right here in southwest Missouri.

"We're so excited and so proud of our teams doing that well; I just feel like I need to send them a thank you card because business is crazy right now," said Rally House manager Jen Hutton.

Sales are booming because fans are going crazy for anything in gold and black, red and white, and red and gold.

"Just in the Chiefs sales alone, we have already surpassed what we sold all of last year for football season in that department," said Hutton.

It's not just about jerseys and jackets, there's jewelery, burger flippers, flip flops, and even toothbrushes.

"They're ready to camp out," said Hutton. "They're your serious fans now."

These serious fans are spending some serious cash.

People with sports fever says it's easy to get caught up in the excitement when the Show-Me State teams are showing what they can do.

"I don't want to be one of those bandwagon fans, but everyone catches themselves doing it. It's just exciting when everyone is talking about it and wants to get involved in it," said Cardinals' fan Molly Aasby.
