Pittsburgh Pickle Company was founded by three brothers, John Patterson, Will Patterson and Joe Robl. Being Pittsburgh natives, they always had a dream of working together and fulfilled that dream by opening The Beer Hive in the Strip District in 2011. They wanted to sell fried pickles, but the pickles they were buying had artificial ingredients or wouldn’t hold up in a deep fryer, so they made their own! Four years later, the customer demand for these tasty pickles was so high, they had to move to their church’s basement! Two years after that, they bought a building in Verona and haven’t stopped growing since! Their pickles are truly as unique as the city they come from, so support this local company and try a pickle!
